- $90,000 per year Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Accountant to join our accounting team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, budgeting support, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with
MAS 90/SAGE
100, full-cycle accounting responsibilities, and preferably a background in manufacturing or inventory-based environments. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Support monthly financial reporting and month-end close activities. General Ledger & Reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records. Review, post, and adjust journal entries as required. Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations. Reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices utilizing a 3-way matching process. Investigate and resolve vendor discrepancies. Maintain vendor account records. Process weekly check runs. Accounts Receivable Post cash receipts and customer payments. Process electronic and paper checks. Reconcile credit card transactions. Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies. Follow up on past-due accounts and collections. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Analyze budget-to-actual variances. Provide financial insights to support business objectives. Audit & Compliance Support internal and external audits. Gather required documentation and respond to auditor requests. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Systems & Reporting Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data. Generate financial reports and management reporting. Experience with
MAS 90 / SAGE 100
is required. Crystal Reports experience is a plus. Additional Duties Collaborate with cross-functional departments. Handle sensitive and confidential information professionally. Assist with special projects and miscellaneous accounting responsibilities. Adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Required Qualifications 5-10+ years of hands-on accounting experience. Strong experience executing the complete accounting cycle.

accounting software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred. Experience in inventory-driven environments such as manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or retail. Crystal Reports experience. Demonstrated career stability, including at least one role held for 3-5 years. Additional Information Fully onsite position in Chicago, IL.
