Real Estate Industry Salary:

We are partnering with a growing and well-established real estate company seeking a Senior Accountant to support and lead day-to-day property accounting operations across a residential portfolio. What You'll Do Manage and reconcile the general ledger in compliance with GAAP Lead month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting reports Handle property accounting and reporting through Yardi Serve as the primary Yardi system administrator and support troubleshooting Monitor daily cash activity, bank reconciliations, and cash flow Process mortgage payments, real estate taxes, and vendor payments Oversee Accounts Payable and weekly disbursements Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP Manage tenant accounting, including deposits, refunds, and collections Assist with lease reviews and analyze financial impact Partner with external CPA firms on tax preparation and compliance Prepare 1099s and support year-end reporting Recommend and improve accounting procedures and internal controls Support and mentor junior accounting staff as needed Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate/property accounting Hands-on Yardi experience required Experience processing payroll through ADP Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting Strong communication and organizational skills Experience working in a smaller or family-owned business environment is highly preferred CPA or CPA-track is a plus Why Join This Team?
