We're looking for an Accountant to join our team supporting the Track-type Tractor manufacturing facility in East Peoria, Illinois as part of the Resource Industries Operations and Products (RIOP) division at Caterpillar. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support for large investments and supporting the Pro Forma process supporting East Peoria's strategic growth targets. This role will work closely with project stakeholders to deliver and report on key financial deliverables. This role will also partner directly with the Operations team to provide monthly financial and forecasting support.
What You Will Do:
Partner with leadership to drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) that supports strategic growth initiatives Lead investment analysis by delivering actionable insights and financial guidance for key business decisions Develop and manage a 5-year facility strategic plan, tracking project execution, capital investments, and realization of expected benefits Implement and enhance financial tools, reporting, and analytics to improve decision-making and business insight capabilities Collaborate cross-functionally to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive resolution independently Leverage data, analytics, and emerging technologies to continuously strengthen business partnership and performance insights Support and deliver ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed What Skills You Need to be
Successful:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance or related discipline; 3+ years of accounting related experience Accuracy and Attention to
Detail:
Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking:
Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications:
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Financial Analysis:
Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Problem Solving:
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
