Job Description

Senior Accountant Location:
Schaumburg, Illinois Assignment Type:
3-month contract with the possibility of extensions
Compensation:
$40.00 - $45.00 / Hourly depending on relevant experience
Benefits:
This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). This role will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completenes Analyze financial results and investigate variances. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporti Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital project accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar Why choose Addison Finance and Accounting?
