Lake Bluff, IL (Hybrid; 4days Onsite & 1day Remote)
Duration:
12 months (Possibility of Extension)
Pay Range:
$25/hr to $27/hr (On W2)
Shift Time:
09:00am to 05:00pm We are looking for a "Accountant IV" to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Fixed Assets Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support the management, verification, and reporting of fixed assets, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal processes in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Required Skills:
Excel proficiency 1-2 years staff accounting ERP (SAP preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the recording and tracking of fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals. Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to fixed assets, including depreciation runs and reconciliations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in the fixed asset subledger. Conduct physical asset verification and tagging across various locations to ensure asset integrity and compliance. Collaborate with project owners and finance teams to ensure timely capitalization of assets. Help prepare audit documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests. Participate in system enhancements related to fixed asset accounting. Support compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies. Assist in generating reports and analysis for management review. Perform manual Journal entries, accruals and reclassifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance; internship or exposure to fixed assets is a plus. Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, Power BI, or other ERP systems is a plus.
