Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant Lisle, IL A family-owned, privately held company in the western suburbs is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its team in a hands-on, casual, and collaborative work environment . Key Responsibilities Support monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Own reconciliation and posting of corporate credit card activity currently handled externally Assist with general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial records Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes as needed Help improve accounting workflows and reporting accuracy Assist ownership and leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects Work closely with outside accounting partners and internal stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of accounting experience preferred Strong general ledger and reconciliation experience Comfortable working in a family-owned business where priorities can shift and flexibility is important Practical, down-to-earth approach with willingness to pitch in where needed Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Compensation Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience Culture Fit This opportunity is best suited for someone who appreciates a casual office atmosphere, approachable leadership, and a less layered organizational structure rather than a highly formal corporate environment.
