Job Summary :

Forge Truck Centers is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, possess excellent technical accounting skills, and be proficient in various accounting software applications.

Responsibilities :

Prepare journal entries for all locations. Prepare allocation entries and business unit profit/loss reports. Complete month-end and year-end close process and procedures to prepare required schedules and reports. Oversee general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data. Perform account reconciliations and analysis to support financial reporting. Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and key performance indicator package for senior management. Provide financial support to operating units and perform ad hoc projects assigned by manager. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain a fixed asset roll forward and review inventory from a book and perpetual standpoint. Support the development, modification, implementation, and/or integration of new and revised financial systems. Extract data from established accounts, summary, and detail ledgers; prepares comprehensive, accurate, concise reports and financial schedules, including supporting documentation. Edit and review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness; determines and prepares necessary adjustments. Perform complex and detailed research and analysis. Prepares and presents statistical reports. Assist with the annual audit and tax workpapers.

Required Qualifications :

Undergraduate degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Accounting 3+ years of accounting experience Excellent technical accounting skills High degree of accuracy with data entry and attention to detail Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups and handling large amounts of data) Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills Self-starter; ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision Ability to proactively gather facts, problem solve, and implement process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications :
