We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our clients growing team! In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial integrity of multiple property and home entities by ensuring accurate reporting, timely reconciliations, and smooth month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and complete timely bank reconciliations across multiple property and home entities, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently. Partner with cross-functional accounting teams to research and resolve outstanding items while supporting departmental collaboration and cross-training initiatives. Assist with the monthly and year-end close processes in compliance with GAAP standards. Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and intercompany transactions. Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account activity to ensure accurate financial reporting. Investigate and explain monthly variances and fluctuations in account balances. Support the Accounting Manager and Controller with financial reporting, analysis, and operational initiatives. Participate in special projects and process improvement efforts designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications:
Experience with Yardi software is required. Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures. Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems required. Why choose Addison Finance and Accounting?
