Job DescriptionJob Description Corporate Staff Accountant About the Job The accounting department of our well-established company located in Oak Lawn, IL is seeking to hire an accountant to join their experienced financial team. The company has been around for over 40 years and specializes in the trucking industry. The Accountant will work directly with the Corporate Accounting department and report directly to Senior Accounting personnel as well as the CFO of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a CPA firm or in a corporate accounting environment and is willing to be trained from the ground up in our industry. The company offers excellent benefits and the ability for our employees to grow and be promoted within the company based on performance. Responsibilities

• ability to be trained in our AP, AR, Payroll and Fixed asset systems
• Learn and assist with our weekly invoice billing for our Distribution Centers
• Assist with month-end and year-end close and reporting processes
• Make journal entries, conduct financial statement analysis and account reconciliations
• Participate and assist with the audit of the company by our outside auditors
• Assist with the preparations of our year-end Corporate and state tax returns
• Work on other special projects as assigned Requirements/Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Strong Microsoft Office, Excel and Word skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines
