Job SummaryThe Business Operations, Expense job family is a subset within FP&A that supports the Operations function and are responsible for transactional & administrative type finance tasks at a Data Center level. A key part of the role is the management of the procure to pay process, including dealing with Account Payables queries and vendor issues. In addition, the team will play an important part in gathering and conResponsibilities Business PartneringThis role leads the P2P process. Working as the glue between Payables, IBX sites team, Suppliers and PurchasingCreation of the Purchase Requests and is the Oracle super user supporting the IBXEnsure compliance of Purchase Requests (5 W's), all required contracts/legal approvals, accounting codes and competitive bidsManages full cycle of contract administrations which includes liaising between legal & IBX teamsShares insights with business leaders and Finance management as appropriate to improve business operationsReportingCreates operations financial reporting documents for Ops Site & Functional Leaders, uses key metrics and insightful variance ana lysis and commentary ( i.e. monthly management deck,quarterly regional performance reviews, quarterly forecast presentations, budget presentations, etc.) for the purposes of cos t a nalysisProvides process improvement recommendationsTracks exact spend against budget by PO/Project (Capex & Opex) using mechanisms such as weekly tracker reviewing commitmentsUtilize a planning tool (system) Access to use PBCS tool is idealForecastingCollect, Consolidate and review of budget inputs and submit to Finance PartnersProvides analysis for quarterly and annual cost and budget forecastsHighlights actual vs. target discrepancies and trends as appropriateProvides analysis to compare trends and make sure submissions are within targetsRevise forecast with finance based on factors like actual trendsQualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProfessional accounting certificationMinimum of 5-8 years of solid accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory roleProficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel e.g Marco, pivot table); Capable for Power Query, Power Automate, Python is preferredFluent in English, Cantonese and preferably in good MandarinFamiliar with budget management, cost control, data analysis, and other finance-related tasksStrong analytical mindset, excellent communication with various sub-team and colleagues, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
