This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and integrity of our organization by managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting payroll processing and sales tax filling for small to mid size businesses. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in small to mid size business accounting, along with proficiency in a variety of accounting software and financial systems. This position is perfect for someone eager to develop their expertise in public accounting practices, technical accounting, and payroll management within a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Duties Prepare and and process Payroll checks and payroll tax returns for business clients Enaire timely filling and payment of sales tax returns for business clients Review data entry tasks efficiently using accounting software QuickBooks, ensuring timely processing of transactions. Support payroll management activities utilizing systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian to ensure accurate employee compensation and tax compliance. Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliation and financial statement preparation. During Tax season, Prepare business tax returns and personal tax returns Maintain thorough documentation of all financial transactions, supporting audit readiness and transparency across all accounting functions. Communicate with clients for their questions and queries on day to day basis. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus but not required. Proven experience in public accounting practices is a plus. Proficiency in English, Gujarati and Hindi Proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks. Experience with payroll management systems such as Payroll relief is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet analysis and account analysis accurately. Excellent math skills with high attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing and double entry bookkeeping is essential. Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll is advantageous.
