Job Description

A growing construction company is seeking a Construction Project Accountant to support the financial administration of active construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Operations, subcontractors, and company leadership to ensure accurate project financial reporting, job costing, owner billings, subcontractor pay applications, and overall project accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
Maintain project financial records for multiple active projects Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and profitability Process subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices Prepare
AIA G702/G703
owner billings and draw requests Track retainage, change orders, lien waivers, and insurance compliance Support project forecasting and financial reporting Partner with Project Managers and Operations teams to support project success Utilize Procore, Sage, Excel, and related construction accounting systems
Qualifications:
3+ years of construction accounting or project accounting experience Experience with AIA billing (G702/G703) Strong understanding of job cost accounting Experience processing subcontractor pay applications Experience with retainage and change order management Strong Excel skills
Preferred:
Procore experience Sage 300 CRE or Sage Intacct experience Commercial construction, general contractor, multifamily, or real estate development experience
