Elkhart, Indiana Accountant Salary Range:
$54,000–$70,000
Schedule:
Full-time | On-site Position Overview A well-established company in Elkhart, Indiana is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support daily financial operations, month-end close, and general ledger accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, problem-solving, and contributing to a collaborative accounting team. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting leadership with timely, accurate reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and balance sheet schedules Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support preparation of financial statements and internal management reports Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries Review AP/AR transactions for accuracy and proper coding Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Provide documentation for audits and compliance requirements Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–4 years of accounting experience (corporate or public) Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger processes Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Sage, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Why This Opportunity Stands Out Stable Elkhart employer with long-term growth opportunities Exposure to multiple areas of accounting Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment Predictable schedule with strong work-life balance #
