Job Description
Job Overview The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for working within Accounts Payable, Credit & Cash Application, Month End Close process, and other general accounting related duties. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed asset/capex records; ensuring all expenditures are captured with correct project.
- Performs accounts payable related duties.
- Performs collection efforts and reporting on aged accounts receivables.
- Applies customer payments against invoices.
- Assists with month end close process by: o Prepares general ledger entries and reconciles various account balances. o Prepares and maintains monthly workpapers as part of the month end process.
- Supports plant management, as well as other departments, by answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Other duties may be assigned or reassigned at any time. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Organized, analytical thinker, and problem solver. Strong understanding of the production process Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
