Goshen, IN (Onsite) About the Opportunity for aCost Accountant:
- Join a stable and growing manufacturing organization with a strong reputation in the South Bend area.
- Work closely with operations and plant leadership to support data-driven decision making and improve financial visibility across production.
- Opportunity to build strong manufacturing accounting experience while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency. Overview of the Cost Accountant role:
- Analyze manufacturing costs including labor, materials, and overhead to support accurate product costing.
- Maintain and review inventory transactions including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare cost analysis reports, track variances, and support plant management with financial insights.
- Assist with month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory valuation. Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with cost accounting or manufacturing accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.
- ERP system experience preferred.
