Job Description
We are a small but busy law firm seeking a detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure smooth day-to-day accounting operations. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable Manage billing, invoicing, and trust accounting (experience with IOLTA accounts preferred) Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports Assist with payroll processing and tax filings Ensure compliance with accounting and legal industry regulations Work closely with attorneys and staff to manage financial operations efficiently Onboarding new employees Answering phones and effectively communicating with clients and staff. Assisting staff with general administrative duties as needed (we work as a team!)Qualifications:
Previous experience in bookkeeping/accounting (law firm experience preferred but not required) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Clio, Mycase, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of legal trust accounting is a plus Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial informationCompensation & Benefits:
