Full Job Description About Company:
The Story of DSWD Advisory, LLP DSWD Advisory•Walking Beside You, Looking Ahead At its core, DSWD Advisory, LLP (DSWD) is about relationships. Whether it's clients, colleagues, or new partners, the firm's philosophy is simple•meet your team and clients where they are and look out for their best interests and wellbeing. It's this combination of steadfast support and forward thinking that defines the firm and will continue to guide it for years to come. The Family Firm DSWD was founded in 2009 by Partners Joseph DeMarco, John Sciaccotta, and Rick Wilkens, with a simple goal: build a firm that genuinely cares for its people and for its clients. From the beginning, the focus has been on creating a workplace that feels more like a family than a company. That same personal connection extends to their clients, who trust DSWD to always act in their best interests, well beyond the day-to-day accounting tasks. "The firm feels more like family than co-workers and it's because our Leadership team truly cares about everyone," says Jennefer Hofferica, Firm Administrator. As the firm has grown, its culture has remained grounded in those founding values. Team members describe a supportive environment filled with camaraderie, mutual respect, and a healthy dose of fun. The leadership team strikes a thoughtful balance of supporting their people while strategically guiding the future of the firm. People First Everything at DSWD starts with people. Whether it's celebrating personal milestones, mentoring the next generation of CPAs, or ensuring every team member feels seen and supported, the firm leads with a people-first philosophy. That mindset extends to client relationships as well, taking the time to understand individual goals and helping to prepare them for what's around the corner. To further their commitment to both team and client success, DSWD partnered with 119th Street Capital, a Family Office that invests in financial services firms, in 2025. This collaboration was rooted in aligned values: a shared belief that quality relationships and positive culture drive meaningful success. It also opened the door for investment in growth, elevating team members, providing resources to better serve clients, and exploring new opportunities via mergers and acquisitions. Poised for Growth While the Partners received investment interest from Private Equity firms, they chose a private family office for its cultural alignment and shared commitment to value-driven growth. The result is a thoughtful roadmap that prioritizes people over profit and supports sustainable expansion through talent acquisition and strategic partnerships. With a strong foundation and people-first mindset, DSWD is positioned for purposeful growth. The firm continues to expand its capabilities and impact, fueled by its partnership with private investment and a clear vision for the future. "I'm proud of the firm DSWD has become and excited about our opportunity to grow•not just for our current team, but also by welcoming new team members and like-minded firms into our culture," said founder Joe DeMarco, CPA. Welcoming People & Firms DSWD's journey of growth includes welcoming both new team members and like-minded firms into the fold. The firm offers a place where professionals can thrive, clients can feel at home, and new partnerships can flourish thanks to the culture that has been built over the last 15+ years. DSWD continues to build a collective of people who believe in doing great work with care and integrity. About the
