Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Month-end Close:
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Audit Preparation:
Prepare schedules and assist with audit requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Variance Analysis:
Conduct detailed variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance and drive strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting operations.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Ad Hoc Projects:
Take on special projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to the continuous growth and success of the organization. Preferred Qualifications of the
Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
