Full Job Description Overview:
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the accounting and financial operations for assigned properties and work effectively as a team member and participate actively and constructively.
Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger for each assigned property. Generate various financial statements and reports for internal and external use on a monthly basis. Perform monthly reconciliations including, balance sheet account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations and complete review of profit and loss statements for reasonableness. Perform day-to-day accounting functions including, debt payment processing, fixed asset related accounting, analyze escrow accounts, and other activities as required. Prepare annual real estate tax accrual workpapers. Monitor monthly reporting including, gross possible rent, aged A/R and cash report. Provide information for the annual budget process for each assigned property. Prepare annual audit documents for each assigned property. Prepare annual property tax returns for each assigned property. Maintain communication with each assigned property's lending institution. Work with personnel in other departments as needed to provide requested financial information. Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance preferred. Proficient in standard information technology tools, including Office products and general ledger software Knowledge of Yardi Property Management and Accounting software preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and comprehend the English language. Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
