216570 Diverse Staffing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Accounting Associate for a leading manufacturing company in Shelbyville, IN. This role combines accounts payable, purchasing cycle accounting, cost analysis, account reconciliation, and ERP reporting responsibilities. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals who have experience in a manufacturing environment and enjoy working with financial data, cost analysis, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and verify purchase order accuracy Review and document approvals for non-purchase order expenditures Prepare weekly check runs and cash disbursements Process company expense reports and reconcile supporting documentation Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations Analyze manufacturing expenditures and cost data Review cost variances and adjustments with accounting leadership Extract and analyze data from ERP systems using Microsoft Excel Work closely with purchasing to obtain pack slips, purchase orders, and supporting documentation Support financial reporting and special accounting projects Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, or Associate Degree in Accounting with relevant accounting coursework Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, accounts payable, purchasing cycle accounting, or cost accounting Strong understanding of manufacturing costs and cost of goods sold (COGS) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, lookups, data analysis, and nested formulas Experience using ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy Preferred Experience Manufacturing accounting Cost accounting Variance analysis General ledger reconciliation Purchasing cycle accounting ERP reporting systems Benefits Weekly pay Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Stable first-shift schedule Long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer
