Full Job Description Description:
The Energy Accounting Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, by performing energy accounting, inventory and administrative duties. Additional responsibilities include promoting company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork, shared services, and by following safety policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.) Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers Manages accurate accounting of energy transactions including billing, tracking, reconciling, and recording prices, sales, purchases, and inventory Codes energy products and loads Updates energy prices and distributes to drivers Issues and maintains fuel cards (Iuka only) Processes energy billing and deliveries; and manages accounts and contracts Processes payments to customers for unused prepaid balances Updates and maintains energy inventory spreadsheets Assists fuel locations with billing questions, concerns, and reporting Manages difficult or emotional situations Manages disgruntled customers appropriately Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management Encourages teamwork and professionally communicates with various departments Understands and complies with all state and federal regulations Maintains and promotes safety awareness and follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements Presents a clean and professional appearance Responsible for prompt and regular attendance Employee is required to perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of accounting, billing, administrative, customer service, or related experience preferred Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data entry accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting or inventory software Ability to work independently and as part of a team
