Plant Accountant

Plant Accountant Perform cost accounting activities, including standard cost maintenance, BOM review, and variance analysis Analyze actual costs vs. standard costs; monitor purchase price variance (PPV) Support inventory accounting, reserves, and reconciliations Prepare journal entries and assist with month‑end close and financial reporting Review manufacturing variances and cost center reporting with management Track capital expenditures and complete monthly capital roll‑forward Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and labor efficiency reporting Prepare required internal and external reports, including dairy inventory and loss/damage tracking Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with internal controls Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Controller Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required) Experience in food or aseptic manufacturing environments preferred Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability Paid time off, holidays, and paid leave (subject to eligibility) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Disability, life, accident, legal, and EAP benefits Retirement plan options Education reimbursement and professional development opportunities
