Job Description

Plant Accountant | KanPak |
Arkansas City, KS Location:
Arkansas City, KS, United States Description + Perform cost accounting activities, including standard cost maintenance, BOM review, and variance analysis + Analyze actual costs vs. standard costs; monitor purchase price variance ( PPV ) + Support inventory accounting, reserves, and reconciliations + Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close and financial reporting + Review manufacturing variances and cost center reporting with management + Track capital expenditures and complete monthly capital roll-forward + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and labor efficiency reporting + Prepare required internal and external reports, including dairy inventory and loss/damage tracking + Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with internal controls + Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Controller + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field + Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) + Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required) + Experience in food or aseptic manufacturing environments preferred + Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills + High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability + Paid time off, holidays, and paid leave (subject to eligibility) + Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage + Disability, life, accident, legal, and EAP benefits + Retirement plan options + Education reimbursement and professional development opportunities
