This role plays a critical part in supporting cost accounting functions, inventory valuation processes, and financial analysis activities that directly impact business decision-making. The Cost Accountant will partner closely with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and finance leadership to ensure accurate product costing, strengthen financial visibility, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Analyze work orders, maintain standard costing, and ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead, PPV) and support month-end close & P&L review Maintain inventory accuracy, including cycle counts, obsolete inventory, and GL reconciliation Lead annual standard cost roll, support project cost tracking, and provide cost estimates/pricing support Prepare cost estimates and provide pricing support for new and existing products, helping drive strategic pricing decisions Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business 3-5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, COGS, and variance analysis Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills Additional Details Standard weekday schedule with occasional travel and inventory-related activities Competitive benefits package offered
