Hiring a Senior Property Accountant in Overland Park, KS for a direct hire onsite position to support a diverse portfolio of commercial properties and serve as a key partner to property management and ownership teams. What You'll Do Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages for assigned properties. Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. Perform bank reconciliations and analyze financial transactions to ensure accurate accounting treatment. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, tenant billings, and daily cash management activities. Prepare and review common area maintenance (CAM) and real estate tax reconciliations. Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, and special projects. Partner closely with property managers, ownership groups, and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience, including commercial real estate or property accounting experience. Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. Experience preparing CAM reconciliations, real estate tax reconciliations, and property-level financial statements.
