Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations within a healthcare environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, and accruals Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reporting Support budgeting and forecasting processes Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific regulations Analyze variances and provide insight into financial performance Partner with operational teams to support financial decision-making Assist with audits, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience (healthcare experience preferred) Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or medical practices Familiarity with revenue cycle , billing, or insurance reimbursement CPA or CPA-track is a plus
