Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level accountant to join a manufacturing organization in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is well suited for someone with foundational accounting knowledge who is eager to grow in a collaborative environment that blends onsite teamwork with one remote day each week. You will contribute to day-to-day financial operations, support month-end activities, and help keep accounting processes accurate, organized, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Process routine payables and receivables transactions while maintaining accurate supporting documentation and timely follow-through.
  • Compare purchase orders, invoices, and related records to confirm proper matching and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with balance sheet support activities, including reconciliations and preparation of backup for key accounts.
  • Record and review general ledger entries to help maintain accurate financial data and support regular close activities.
  • Complete bank and account reconciliations, researching variances and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Respond to miscellaneous accounting requests and provide dependable support for evolving departmental priorities.
  • Follow established procedures while using sound judgment to identify issues, ask clarifying questions, and work toward practical solutions.
