Job Description

Public Accounting Internship Status:
Full-Time Start & End Date:
January - April 2028 At Blue & Co., LLC, we're on the lookout for ambitious interns to jump into our Tax, Audit, or Healthcare Reimbursement teams across multiple locations. If you're ready to gain real-world experience and grow your career with a firm delivering outstanding service - we'd love to have you on Team Blue!
What You'll Do:
As a Blue intern, you'll gain meaningful, hands-on experience by contributing directly to our client service teams. You'll be supported by mentors, receive real-time feedback, and collaborate with coworkers, leadership, and client business owners. Depending on your practice group, your responsibilities may include: Assisting with audits and reviews Understanding the impact of business transactions on the financial statements and cultivating the "business advisor" perspective Preparation of basic financial statements and schedules for clients Standard and complex tax return preparation (1040, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnerships, 941, 1099) Tax research projects Assistance on Medicaid/Medicare cost reports analysis for health care facilities Analysis related to mergers, acquisitions, litigation, ESOPs, and estate and succession planning
What We're Looking For:
Strong academic performance (Minimum GPA 3.2) Accounting, Finance or related major on track to meet the requirements for CPA exam Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PPT, Outlook and Excel Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills Success in working independently and as part of a team Available to work overtime hours including evening/weekends and travel as necessary Exhibit strong communication skills - willingness to ask questions to gain knowledge of complex subjects Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
