We have over 25 years' experience providing care in Kentucky, and we are the largest provider of adult day health care services in the state. We provide home care services, case management services, and home health services as well. We are continuing to grow after opening three PACE facilities in late 2022. Under the supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant shall assist the department by performing accounting functions and maintaining strong relationships with vendors/contractors, etc. In addition to these duties, they will assist various departments within American Health Management as needed and their duties allow. Additional assistance shall include basic office functions as needed or assistance with special projects or events.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform accounting functions as needed for American Health Management. Assisting with credit card entries and monthly reconciliations of statements. Accounts Payables/Accounts Receivables. Maintain the general ledger and prepare and post journal entries. Helps maintain and strengthen our relationships with vendor partnerships. Protects privacy and maintains confidentiality of all company procedures, results and information about employees, participants, and families. May be required to run office related errands including pick up and drop off documents and other items, as well as post office related errands. Practices Universal precautions. Maintains safe working environment. Follows American Health Management Safety Policies and Procedures. Participates in and supports Quality Improvement initiatives. Participate in any staff and training meetings required. Responsibilities may be adjusted as deemed necessary to allow the accounting department to meet reporting deadlines and other requirements.
Experience & Education:
- High School diploma is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Experience in a business office is preferred.
- A plus to have some accounting software experience (we use NetSuite).
