ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be a key member of our Accounting & Finance team, supporting the CFO across Double Kwik, Childers Oil, our restaurant group, and Raven Rock. You'll own the day-to-day integrity of the general ledger and be a trusted partner in month-end close, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. You'll work closely with Operations, Food Service, Purchasing, and the Budget Manager so every store, every entity, and every leader has timely, accurate numbers. WHAT YOU'LL BRING
(EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred) 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; multi-entity, multi-location experience strongly preferred Convenience store, fuel/petroleum, grocery, or restaurant industry experience is a plus Experience with PDI, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or comparable ERP/accounting systems Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting

WORKING CONDITIONS
Office-based role in Whitesburg, KY with occasional travel to stores, restaurants, and partner sites Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and type/keyboard or enter data using a computer and monitor up to 8 hours per day Plan, conduct, and attend meetings in person or via teleconference software Occasional extended hours during month-end, quarter-end, year-end close, and budget season Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own significant portions of our monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and inter-company entries Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations Reconcile fuel inventory, lottery, deli/food service, and other key retail categories with Operations Help prepare internal financial statements, store-level P&Ls, and entity-level reporting packages Support the build-out of Traction-based scorecards and measurables for each entity Partner with the Budget Manager and store leaders on store-level budgets Support GPAL, labor matrix, and labor scheduling reporting in partnership with HR and Operations Help document the Accounting & Finance section of our company-wide Procedures Manual Assist with external audit, tax, and review engagements Spot and implement process improvements, automation, and AI-assisted workflows Protect the confidentiality of every financial, payroll, and ownership detail Any other assigned task by management
