Senior Accountant

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the organization's financial health. As a Senior Accountant, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles, financial software, and data analysis to support strategic decision-making and maintain accurate financial records. Your proactive approach and strong technical skills will help drive efficiency and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. Responsibilities General Accounting and financial preparation for multiple nursing homes and ancillary companies. Maintaining all sub-ledgers and fixed asset schedules. Monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Annual gathering of data for tax return preparation as well as annual preparation of Medicare and Medicaid Cost reports. Preparation of annual property tax assessments and unclaimed property reporting. Special projects as assigned by the Controller, V.P. Finance and/or C.F.O. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or five years accounting experience. Healthcare experience preferred
