Westaff is recruiting for a FUN and FAST growing start up agency in South Baton Rouge. Seeking experienced Jr. Accountant for a Direct Hire opportunity. Salary is $70-75K to start.

About the Role Seeking a hands-on Junior Accountant to support and scale accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants exposure beyond traditional accounting tasks. You'll help keep the books clean, support month-end close, and improve processes as we grow.Details:
- Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries
- Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll processing and reconciliations
- Prepare internal financial reports and schedules
- Track expenses and support cash flow monitoring
- Help build and improve accounting processes and controls
- Work closely with founders and cross-functional teams
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of accounting experience (startup or small company strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online)
- Strong Excel skills
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
