Pay ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 dependent upon experience. The schedule is Monday
  • Friday, 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed.
Position Summary The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and month-end close processes. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports while supporting strategic financial decision-making across the organization. The accountant will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in ensuring efficient and compliant financial operations. Responsibilities and Duties Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare financial statements accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with
U.S. GAAP.
Evaluate financial information and identify trends, variances, and potential areas of risk. Assist in developing budgets and forecasts and track actual results against projected performance. Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies. Collaborate with departments across the organization to provide financial support and analysis. Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests. Oversee the reconciliation and maintenance of fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other general ledger accounts. Participate in initiatives designed to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of accounting processes. Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 3-5 years of accounting experience in an industry or public accounting environment. Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Vista, or comparable software. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Construction industry experience is preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Physical Requirements Extended periods of sitting and computer use. Ability to perform detailed work requiring sustained concentration and accuracy.
