401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations supporting the Controller. Ensure accurate financial reporting and supporting asset-intensive rental operations. This role requires strong knowledge of revenue recognition, fixed asset accounting, and cost tracking in a high-volume, service-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Assist and prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to management Revenue Review revenue recognition for rental contracts, service agreements, and project-based work Monitor utilization-based billing and ensure accuracy of rental income Track and allocate direct and indirect costs across jobs, regions, and business units Fixed Assets & Inventory Assist and reconcile fixed asset module (rental fleet, tools, equipment) Oversee depreciation schedules and capital expenditure tracking Partner with operations to ensure accurate asset tagging, transfers, and disposals Monitor inventory levels, obsolescence, and cycle counts Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Support AR oversight, including aging analysis and collections strategy Work with operations and sales to resolve billing discrepancies Assist in managing cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Maintain internal controls and support audit processes (internal & external) Assist with tax reporting, including sales/use tax and property tax for equipment Process Improvement Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting processes and systems Support ERP implementation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5-8+ years of accounting experience (oilfield services, rental, or industrial services preferred) Strong understanding of revenue recognition and fixed asset accounting Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail with ability to manage high transaction volumes Ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership Strong communication and organizational skills Be self supervised Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-driven environment Work Environment Office-based with regular interaction with field operations teams Occasional travel to yard locations or field sites may be required
