This role provides leadership and direct oversight to supporting accounting personnel and collaborates with the CCI Group of Companies finance teams. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Governance Provide leadership for all accounting, financial reporting, and control functions for Frederick's operations. Ensure financial practices align with CCI financial policies, internal controls, and governance standards. Act as a financial advisor to ownership and leadership on operational performance, capital decisions, and risk. Financial Reporting & Controls Ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Process weekly payroll, collaborating with the CCI Group of Companies Payroll Manager. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and financial data. Establish and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting, cash handling, payroll, and expenditures. Support audits, reviews, and examinations by external accountants and regulatory bodies. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. Prepare variance analysis and financial insights to support operational decision making. Provide reporting for profitability, margins, overhead, and cost drivers across departments and projects. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Collaborate with the CFO, President and GM on cash flow forecasting & liquidity. Monitor accounts receivable, credit risk, collections, and accounts payable. Ensure compliance with lending covenants and reporting requirements. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local tax and regulatory requirements. Coordinate preparation of corporate tax filings in collaboration with external advisors. Ensure appropriate records retention, data security, and financial information confidentiality. Support grant, incentive, or credit programs as approved by leadership. Systems & Process Improvement Ensure financial systems and manufacturing/ERP integrations provide accurate, reliable data. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting efficiency, and controls. Partner with IT and operations to support system integrity, data security, and business continuity. People Leadership Lead, develop, and coach finance team members. Set clear expectations, provide performance feedback, and support employee development. Ensure finance staff adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements. Participate in hiring, promotion, wage adjustment, and discipline recommendations, subject to approval by the Chief Financial Officer. Support resolution of employee relations issues in coordination with management and Human Resources. Lead assigned teams in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner. Foster Quality, Safety & Compliance aligned with Frederick's and CCI Group of Companies Health & Safety standards. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or applicable experience required. CPA or equivalent professional designation strongly preferred. Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or project based environments. Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls. Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting systems. Global Shop ERP experience considered an asset. Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills. Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering abilities. High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
