In this role, you will support core accounting operations, contribute to timely financial reporting, and partner with leadership to maintain accurate records across the general ledger. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing routine accounting work with analysis, process support, and special projects.
Responsibilities:
Record and review journal entries while reconciling key accounts such as cash, prepaid balances, payroll, and other general ledger activity. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close by preparing schedules, verifying account activity, and helping complete financial close documentation. Produce balance sheet and income statement analyses that help management understand operating results and financial trends. Maintain fixed asset records, track depreciation activity, and reconcile related balances to ensure accurate reporting. Administer recurring entries, intercompany transactions, and related reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy and follow-through. Assist with internal control compliance by supporting accounting procedures, preparing audit-ready documentation, and coordinating with external auditors during reviews and annual audits. Develop financial statements, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and other reports that present accounting data in a clear and meaningful format. Contribute to departmental initiatives and complete ad hoc reporting or special assignments as business needs evolve. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred. At least 2 years of accounting experience in a staff accounting or similar role. Hands-on experience with journal entries, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to organize and analyze financial data efficiently. Working knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, or corporate tax return support is a plus. Experience with systems such as NetSuite, BlackLine, or other enterprise accounting platforms is advantageous. Strong analytical ability, careful attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under deadline. Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
