5 & 2 Quality Companies is accepting résumés for a Job Cost Accountant to add to our Accounting Department in our Youngsville, LA Office . The Job Cost Accountant is responsible for all aspects of a project's accounting from the commencement of a project until the project is finalized. He or she shall work with any and all personnel to ensure timely and accurate project accounting occurs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Opening and maintaining jobs in Spectrum, including entering rates and budgets Prepare monthly job cost reports, ensuring revenue and costs are matched, and explaining variances Preparing revenue and cost accruals Reporting on indirect costs Prepare and assist with monthly management reporting package Reporting on manhours on a monthly basis Work with project and operations managers for weekly and monthly progress reports. Understand cost overruns and over/under billings on projects, and be able to articulate to operations and management what the reasons and resolutions are for the overruns and under billings Job cost reclassifications of improperly coded charges Prepare and submit 401K contributions and matching

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent business experience is required Extensive computer knowledge and skills including spreadsheets, accounting software, and databases.
