Robert Half Sr. Accountant Bedford, MA Apply Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Bothell, Washington. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial operations and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting practices, analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet and income statement variances, providing actionable insights and commentary.
- Prepare and present monthly and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management.
- Oversee the review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations during the close process.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with finance teams to streamline operations and improve the efficiency of financial processes.
- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and contribute to variance analysis.
- Utilize Oracle systems to maintain and review general ledger activities. Requirements
- Proven experience in month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
- Expertise in account and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Oracle systems for financial operations.
- Ability to perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Skilled in preparing financial statements and conducting variance analyses.
- Familiarity with implementing best practices in accounting policies and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
