They are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their collaborative accounting team. Why This Staff Accountant Role Is Unique Contribute directly to a mission that supports individuals with special abilities Work closely with an experienced team that encourages learning and teamwork Hybrid flexibility Opportunity to gain broad nonprofit accounting exposure during a period of change Job Responsibilities As the Staff Accountant, you will: Prepare journal entries and assist with maintaining the general ledger Complete routine account reconciliations (bank, AP, AR, payroll allocations, etc.) Support the monthly close process by gathering documentation, reviewing coding, and assisting senior team members Help process provider billing and invoice submissions (MassHealth, DDS, and other state programs) Maintain organized financial records and assist with contract‑related documentation Assist with AP/AR tasks as needed, including vendor setup, payment processing, and client billing Support audit preparation by assembling schedules and requested backup Participate in process improvements as the organization updates systems and workflows Qualifications 1–3 years of accounting experience Nonprofit accounting experience is helpful but not required Strong reconciliation and basic GAAP understanding Comfortable learning billing processes and contract requirements Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to grow in an evolving environment Collaborative communication style and willingness to pitch in where needed Salary Range $70,000 – $80,000, depending on experience EB-8872049242
