Job Description:
•Role will be primarily remote, candidates MUST be in the Northeast / accessible to NYC for periodic on-site requirements• Global Professional Services firm is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join a growing finance team and take ownership of core revenue accounting activities. You'll ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with applicable standards, while working closely with internal stakeholders to keep billing, reporting, and forecasting aligned. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both technical accounting and process improvement.

Responsibilities:
Execute and support the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Apply revenue recognition principles under ASC 606 across a range of contract and engagement types Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts including deferred revenue and unbilled receivables Work within the company's ERP system to ensure project and contract data is accurately reflected in financial outputs Review client contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue treatment Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to ensure contract updates are captured correctly in billing and reporting Support intercompany revenue processes and assist with foreign currency considerations where relevant Contribute to internal controls, audit preparation, and ongoing process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience; professional services or project-based environments a plus Solid understanding of ASC 606 and its practical application Experience working in an ERP system; familiarity with project accounting modules beneficial Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large or complex datasets Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively across teams
