Family Office Senior Accountant Kraft Group LLC $85,000.00 - $101,000.00 Salary United States, Massachusetts, Foxborough Apr 21, 2026
Description SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing and reviewing advanced accounting activities for a multi-entity Family Office including operating entities, individuals, trusts, and foundations. This role supports the Assistant Controller by owning complex accounting areas, reviewing Staff Accountant work, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned entities. Perform monthly and annual close procedures, including balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L analyses, and assist in the preparation of financial statements. Support maintenance of books and records for various entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transaction processing. Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide guidance to ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and timelines. Account for multi-asset class investment activity including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and marketable securities. Review reconciliation of custodial and investment platform statements to internal records and assist team with resolving discrepancies. Research securities and technical accounting matters as needed and document conclusions. Review schedules and supporting documentation required by the tax department to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with internal policies and applicable regulations. Identify workflow issues and escalate exceptions affecting accounting records or valuations to the Assistant Controller. Special projects and assignments as business dictates. Responsible for creation, maintenance and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by Confidentiality and Privacy Standards, in accordance with Mass Regulations on Personal Identity Regulations and
HIPAA. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred and/or working to obtain 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of investment accounting across multiple asset classes. Demonstrated experience reviewing and validating the work of others. Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with investment accounting systems preferred. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Strong technical research and documentation skills. Ability to independently manage month-end close responsibilities. Ability to drive results with a sustained intense work ethic in a high-volume atmosphere Must possess a results orientation, competitive nature, and a desire to make things better. This requires both critical thinking skills and the ability to translate into action that drives result Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness Must be able to manage relationships across business units
