East Coast Tile has evolved into one of the largest importers of tile and stone products on the east coast, but in many ways remains the same small company founded 60 years ago. East Coast Tile is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our administration operations team in Ludlow, MA. The Accounting Associate supports the Accounting Department by processing and verifying accounting data, maintaining accounting records, and checking the accuracy of calculations and postings. The Associate will have primary responsibility for a function and/or region, and will be cross-trained and will provide backup support in other areas. The ideal candidate will be a creative and proactive problem-solver who can prioritize multiple tasks and details, while ensuring compliance with specific company practices and protocols. Critical features of this job, described below, are subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or business necessity. As an Accounting Associate you will: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and gain proper approval prior to payment. Complete payment process, either through check, wire, ACH, or credit card payment. Act as liaison between corporate and branch locations on all accounts payable and accounts receivable matters. Reconcile vendor payments and work with vendors on inquiries and issues in a professional manner. Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files. Assist corporate financial officers and branch personnel as needed. Receive, record, and verify bank cash daily through review of the branch cash box. Prepare and process customer payments for remote bank deposits, accurately and in a timely manner. Assist in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable monthly closings. Perform filing, copying and scanning for proper document storage. Attendance and adherence to the work schedule are also essential functions of this position.

Starting at $20/hr

Proficiency in Google Business Suite, MS Office Suite, and enterprise accounting systems (ERP). Meticulous attention to detail with high level of accuracy; self-starter who is also proactive; a creative problem-solver who is resourceful and who has the ability to build relationships and inspire trust. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; time management skills; and the ability to prioritize while multitasking. Able to work a flexible work schedule, which may include occasional overtime hours based on operational need. Able to work on site 5 days per week.
