Operations Specialist

We are looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team in Needham, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance within a banking environment. This position requires a strong understanding of banking operations, accounting principles, and regulatory standards to support seamless reconciliation processes and audits.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of general ledger and bank statement accounts, including activities related to Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to support financial reporting processes.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with Operations and Accounting teams to ensure proper and timely transaction bookings.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and respond to audit and examiner requests with precision.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and banking regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential risks, contributing to critical decision-making.
• Utilize advanced spreadsheet tools to streamline reconciliation and reporting tasks.
• Ensure adherence to high standards and regulatory expectations, including PCAOB guidelines.
