Compensation:
90K-100K Potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications Applicants must be local and willing to commute to Newton, MA, as this role is 100% onsite, 5 days a week. Responsibilities Lead project setup activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing project documentation. Establish and manage financial frameworks, such as billing calendars and project budgets, to support smooth project execution. Build strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with project managers and team members to ensure timely and accurate financial processes. Oversee compliance with company SOPs and contractual obligations, including subcontracts, change orders, and lien waivers. Drive the monthly billing cycle, ensuring all costs are correctly posted, invoices processed, and deadlines met. Facilitate project closeout tasks by coordinating final documentation, warranties, and project evaluations. Monitor project forecasts and assist in variance analysis, offering insights to optimize project financials. Maintain proficiency with construction and accounting software. Support risk management initiatives by ensuring subcontractor compliance and accurate documentation. Promote continuous improvement by learning new tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance project accounting workflows. Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred, with a strong emphasis on finance, accounting, or related fields. 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, subcontracting, or professional services industries. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with client service orientation. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with procurement processes is a plus.
