This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in corporate and governmental accounting, while working with a variety of financial software and systems. As a Junior Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX standards. If you're passionate about numbers, detail-oriented, and eager to grow your career in accounting, this is the perfect role for you! Duties Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, ADP, Paychex, and other financial systems. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data. Prepare journal entries for various financial transactions following double-entry bookkeeping principles. Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing reports. Contribute to compliance efforts related to SOX controls and governmental accounting standards. Support internal audits by providing documentation and explanations for account balances and transactions. Skills Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms. Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience with corporate or governmental accounting practices. Familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or UltiPro and experience with payroll processing. Ability to perform detailed data entry accurately with a focus on precision (10 key typing skills). Experience in accounts payable/receivable functions along with account reconciliation expertise. Basic tax experience related to payroll or corporate taxes is a plus. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent math abilities for account analysis and budgeting support. #RJAF123
