Job Description We are seeking an OBBBA Accountant to join our team supporting the City of Taunton. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payroll accounting, overtime tracking, and government reporting and a proven ability to design and implement weekly employee-level overtime tracking and produce timely, accurate reports.

Work Schedule:

Three days per week onsite. Monday required; other onsite days TBD. More onsite days may be required during initial rollout and after project go-live.

Responsibilities:

Manage tracking and reporting of overtime under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) for Police and Fire departments. Collaborate with Payroll and IT to define and implement an approach to track overtime by employee by week. Develop and maintain reporting schedules, templates, and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy. Validate data integrity across systems and reconcile variances promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in payroll accounting and overtime calculations. Ability to collaborate with Payroll and IT to design tracking workflows and reports. Strong analytical skills with attention to data accuracy and reconciliation. Experience with municipal or public sector reporting preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.

Preferred Skills:

Experience implementing timekeeping, payroll, or HRIS solutions. Familiarity with police and fire scheduling or overtime rules.
