Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis" Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager/Director to lead our North America controllership function. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the financial cycle across the Americas, from close and consolidation through reporting, controls, and compliance. The ideal candidate is technically strong, operationally grounded, and a hands-on leader who can bring structure, drive discipline, and scale processes in a fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities Own all Americas controllership activities, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and cash management Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including global consolidation Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages Partner with FP&A to support variance analysis and performance insights Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and complex transactions Lead external audits end-to-end, ensuring audit readiness and minimal disruption Maintain high-quality documentation and continuously strengthen internal controls Drive ERP and accounting system initiatives (e.g., D365), including process design and adoption Identify and implement opportunities to improve close timelines, automation, and scalability Build, mentor, and develop the North America accounting team Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement Partner cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations to drive alignment and execution Support or lead ad hoc accounting and finance initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred (MBA a plus) 8-12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of public accounting and industry Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Experience managing multi-entity or global close processes, including multi-currency environments Proven ability to drive process improvements and scale accounting operations Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation initiatives
