We're looking for a detail-oriented billing & accounting specialist to join our Waltham headquarters. Generate and review insurance aging reports; submit electronic and paper claims; use insurer portals for eligibility and benefits verification. Generate monthly reports, overdue balance reports, and patient billing statements; process patient refunds with supervisor approval. Manage doctor compensation and calculations; report as needed Coordinate with our third-party billing company on verifications, claim posting, and outstanding claim follow-up. Monitor and respond to billing emails and voicemails in a timely manner. Enter faxed and scanned payments from satellite offices; maintain accurate patient account records. What we look for Experience in an accounting role Proficiency with Excel and comfort learning new practice management software. Excellent communication skills — you'll be on the phone with patients and insurance reps regularly. Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
