You will manage multiple client accounts, ensure accurate financials, and serve as a point of contact for client questions. Duties Manage full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable functions. Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Oversee payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls to safeguard financial integrity. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational planning and decision-making. Mentor junior staff or bookkeeping personnel, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and technical excellence. Requirements Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or non-profit accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial reports and prepare clear financial statements. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cash flow analysis, bank reconciliation, and financial management strategies. Experience with tax preparation or tax experience related to Wills, trusts & estate law is advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills; ability to mentor team members is highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report writing.
