Job Description:

My firm is working with a precision manufacturing plant who is seeking a Senior Accountant This role will oversee month-end close process, financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.

Responsibilities:

Lead month-end financial closing Prepare account reconciliations Oversee cost accounting, margin reporting, overhead allocation, labor, and manufacturing cost absorption Prepare monthly financial reports to plant and regional management Provide financial analysis and operational insight to plant managers Supervise two direct reports responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing Review and approve A/R, A/P, and payroll transactions Maintain internal financial controls at the plant level cash reporting and cash management activities Support annual budget and quarterly forecasts Ensure inventory integrity through transaction oversight and participation in physical inventory count Participate in the annual audit

Requirements:

5-8 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Prior supervisory experience required; experience managing A/R, A/P, and/or payroll functions BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA a plus Cost accounting experience required Demonstrated experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Proficiency with ERP systems required; experience with Visual Infor a plus Strong Microsoft Excel skills This role is onsite daily
